The forensic polygraph division of R J Goan and Associates is committed to providing excellence within the Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PDD). Our examiners are skilled in the Canadian discipline of forensic polygraph and are committed to the highest level of excellence and professionalism, as we serve our clients by protecting what matters to them most.
With state-of-the-art Lafayette Polygraph software and equipment, R J Goan and Associates highly trained examiners use validated testing formats in accordance with the American Polygraph Association and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Our polygraph exams are conducted in a private setting, with only the client and examiner present. Although our examiners will travel to conduct examinations on an as needed basis, our main office provides a quiet and confidential atmosphere for interviews and testing. Post-Conviction Sexual Offender Testing (PCSOT)
Forensic Polygraph is commonly used to treat and supervise the convicted sexual offender residing in the community. Also known as the Containment Approach, our examiners will work in collaboration with the client’s therapist and probation officer, to provide sexual history and maintenance polygraph exams, to assist with the supervision and treatment the sexual offender.
Consultative Services and Expert Testimony
R J Goan and Associates provides consultative services and expert testimony within the area of forensic polygraph. Consultation and testimony include areas specific to; case law, client interviews, quality control, validated testing techniques, scientific research, polygram chart review, question formulation and suitability. With a vast amount of experience in courtroom testimony, our consultants have a clear understanding of case law specific to forensic polygraph and the rules of evidence. Our examiners have experience professionally within both the law enforcement and private sector, conducting analytical case review for both criminal and civil proceedings.
